INSURANCE

Wind and Hail: Something Southern Alberta experiences plenty. Wind and hail storms can be a major threat to the exterior of your home and have the potential to cause extensive damage. Wind tears shingles and siding off many Lethbridge homes each year. Likewise, hail has the power to tear through shingles, siding and eaves-trough, causing irreversible damage.

J.R Roofing has the knowledge and know-how to help you through the insurance process and make the repairs necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of you and your home. This process does not have to be daunting or difficult. Let’s take you through the process.

Step 1

Contact J.R Roofing: We’ll come and inspect your roof. We offer free inspections and can recommend a course of action. If the repairs are minor, your insurance deductible may be higher than the required repairs. If damage is more significant, J.R Roofing can make emergency repairs until your insurance process is complete.

Step 2

Contact your insurance provider: Notify them of damage found by J.R Roofing. Your insurance agent will be able to walk you through your policy and help you understand what is and is not covered, what your deductible is, etc.

Step 3

Confirm damages: Your insurance will send out a Damage Adjuster. Adjusters can be employees of the insurance company, or a third-party contractor hired on their behalf. The Adjuster will confirm the damage to your home and make a report.

Step 4

Choose a Contractor. In Alberta, you have the right to choose your own contractor. If your insurance provider used another contractor to prepare a quote for the repairs, you are not obligated to use them to complete these repairs. We highly recommend finding a contractor you trust. We would be honored to be this contractor, and our 5 Star reviews might help you make that decision.

Step 5

Review Approved Estimate. Once you have a contractor picked out, it is important to go over the approved estimate to plan out the repairs. At this point of the process, changes can be made if damages were missed during the adjuster’s inspection.Once both parties are satisfied with the work to be done, and any upgrades are added, the work can be contracted.
